I have FINALLY (I think) decided on a venue. I definitely want a GRAND ENTRANCE and at this venue, I arrive on a little boat in a quiet, fairy-tale type lake. Also, I would like a harpist to play at the ceremony and I'm going to incorporate fun things that are special to my fiance and I--- the night we met (in Vegas), he bought me my favorite drink (cranberry vodka) and then proceeded to drink the ENTIRE thing! (once he realized it was a $15 drink)! Our drink special, all night, will of course be cranberry vodkas and at the end of the night, there will be a "hangover cure" table (still need to think of a cuter, more appropriate name) with muffins, pastries etc for the morning after and mini bloody mary kits. My fiance and I have been together for almost four years and being big wine lovers, almost every special night we have celebrated has included a bottle of wine. The night we met, our first valentine's day together, the night he got out of the military and we celebrated one last night before distance would keep us apart for a few months, and most special of all..... the night we got engaged. That night, he took me out to my favorite restaurant and got a bottle of fine merlot where he toasted to us spending the rest of our lives together. When looking into ceremony ideas, it was without much surprise that upon reading about the wine box ceremony, we immediately knew this was something we had to do! My fiance is lovingly building the box himself from scratch. Inside the box, we will include a bottle of wine and two love letters to each other.
